TRAIN ANYWHERE WITH PANTEAO PRODUCTIONS

Paul Howe demonstrates to low ready position on the Panteao website.

I’m a training junkie, and though I love going to the range, real life (along with bills) gets in the way. And with the rising cost of ammunition and guns, the number of formal courses I am able to attend each year has dwindled down to just a couple. I would love to train with all of the top tier instructors out there, but there simply isn’t enough time and money for me to do so.

A few years ago, our friend Fernando Coelho started Panteao Productions and set a new standard in training videos. Gone are the days of monotone instructors speaking into a VHS video camera on a tripod. Coelho employs a video production crew that makes Hollywood-grade films. Panteao takes care to make sure that the videos are not only instructional, but entertaining enough to keep your interest.

Glossy production without solid content is worthless. So to make the best videos on the market, you have to have the best instructors making videos. Fernando has done just that. Panteao has names such as Paul Howe, Dean Caputo, Bill Rogers, Pat Rogers, “Super Dave” Harrington, Travis Haley, Jessie Duff, Paul Liebenberg, and many others. There are new names (and videos) added to the list all the time.

Panteao has also produced great documentaries such as their Colt 1911 Video which takes the viewer on a behind the scenes tour of the Colt Factory where you get to see a Colt 1911 being built from beginning to end. Of considerable interest is their upcoming video, Battle of the Black Sea,  where Delta Force veteran Paul Howe gives us his perspective of the story we know as “Black Hawk Down”.

Coming later in February 2013!

There are a couple ways to get some of the best training available. The first is to purchase each video so you can watch the videos on any DVD player. Videos cost anywhere between $20 and $50 each, which is on par with most training DVDs on the market. The other option is what I recommend. For only $20/month, you will get access to every video in the Panteao library via streaming. Watch as much as you want, and cancel whenever. My MacBook Pro is linked to my TV via Airplay so I can watch all the videos on my 65-inch flat screen. And for the smartphone crowd, iOS and Android applications are pending.

Give Panteao Productions a look by clicking the banner up top. It is one of the best deals around.

  1. This plus the SIRT pistol I just ordered are going to make for some fun and instructive in home training.

  2. I find that there can be a lot of training benefit in watching training videos. It is certainly no replacement for quality instruction, but it can be a positive forward movement in training. I look at it as a time for reflection, brainstorming, evaluation, etc. Some of the better training videos I’ve seen, I’ve watched numerous times, and I usually pick up something new each time or see things from a different perspective each time. I feel that constantly immersing yourself in these things can go a long way towards maintaining skills and mentally preparing you to some degree.

  3. I signed up for Panteao after reading this post and its been a great aid in improving my shooting skills ever since.

I was always a bit jealous of Tim being able to stream the videos to his TV. My 2010 iMac is too old for that technology, so I’ve been watching them on my computer. That all changed yesterday when Panteao released an app for iOS and I can now watch videos on my mobile devices and stream them to my TV as well. Life is good.
